Directions to the Shaker Rowing Association - Albany  Boathouse - Hudson River

Shaker Crew shares space with the Albany Boathouse which is located under the highway at the Corning Preserve (Colonie Street exit off I-787), at the far end of the parking lot, adjacent to the Albany public Boat Launch at the start of the Corning Preserve Bike Trail.  

Directions to the Niskayuna Boathouse - Mohawk River

Take Route 7 West toward Schenectady. Union Street and NY-7 will split. Keep to the right and take Union Street. At the next light, take a right onto NY-146, Balltown Road. Go several miles on Balltown Road, passing Niskayuna High School and River Road. The boathouse is at the bottom of a hill at the intersection of Aqueduct Road and Balltown Road. (You will be at a traffic light at the Rexford Bridge  do not cross the bridge.) The boathouse and docks are to the left at this intersection. There is limited

parking to the left and more parking to the right. View a map of the rowing distances on the Mohawk River.

Directions to the Niskayuna Boathouse - Mohawk River

Take Route 7 West toward Schenectady. Union Street and NY-7 will split. Keep to the right and take Union Street. At the next light, take a right onto NY-146, Balltown Road. Go several miles on Balltown Road, passing Niskayuna High School and River Road. Go over the bridge and take a right into Schenectady Yacht Club. 

Directions to Burnt Hills/Shenendehowa Boathouse (Alplaus)

Proceed as above to Niskayuna Boathouse except proceed straight across the Rexford Bridge. Take a left at next light (Stewart’s on right) onto Riverview Road which then turns into Alplaus Avenue at the county line. The road curves left and then right, down a hill and over the Alplaus Creek Bridge. Take a left onto Maritime Drive. Continue straight through the 2-way stop sign (after stopping), past the marina (on left) to the boathouse  (on left).

Directions to Emma Willard School Boathouse - Green Island

From the Northway (I-87), merge onto NY-7 East via exit 7 toward Troy/Cohoes. Merge onto I-787 North toward Cohoes / Waterford. Take I-787 North to the 1st traffic light (Tibbetts Avenue). Take a right onto Tibbetts Avenue. Proceed straight through 1st light and go about 1/4 mile until you cross railroad tracks. Take immediate left once you go over railroad tracks onto Cannon Street. Proceed all the way to the end of Cannon Street (< 1 mile). You will see a company office building on the left called "Silhouette Optical". The boathouse is at the end of their parking lot. Parking is on either side of Cannon Street.

NOTE: The Emma Willard Boathouse location does not offer viewing of the racecourse. A good view point is on the Rte 470/Ontario Street bridge over the Hudson. From the EW boathouse (dead end) go back on Cannon Street, turn right on Veterans Memorial Drive, turn right on Cohoes Ave. Continue on Dyke Ave. Bear Right on RT-787 N. Turn Right on Ontario Street (RT-470).

Directions to Fish Creek (Regattas in Saratoga) - Saratoga Lake

US 87 to Union Ave. exit. Follow Union Ave./9P (approx 2 miles). Cross bridge and turn into Lee's Park/Boat Launch entrance on the left. Plan to pay $10 for parking. Check the Map.

Directions to TAIL OF THE FISH Regatta - Hudson River in Schuylerville

The address is 1 Ferry Street, Schuylerville, NY 12871. US 87 to Exit for Union Ave. Keep right at fork and merge on Union Ave. Turn Right on Henning Road. Turn right on 29E/Lake Ave. Right on Broad St. Take second left on Ferry Street.
