2011 FUNDRAISING NEWS

STROKES FOR SUPPORT

October 8, 2011

Thanks to all who came out and supported the team at our main fundraiser this season. We had a beautiful day, great food, and lively conversation! Of course, the rowers were awesome!  All together we raised $5,145! 

The rowers who brought in the most pledges were:

A special thanks to Mrs. DuMont who donated lovely mums, which we raffled off.

What is the fundraiser obligation?

There is a $195.00 minimum fundraising obligation which applies to all Shaker Crew families.  There will be fundraising opportunities including the annual mandatory Strokes for Support on October 9 (all rowers are expected to participate) and an Evergreen Holiday fundraiser (wreaths, swags and kissing balls).  If the required obligation is paid by check, members may request a letter for tax purposes.  Funds raised above and beyond the minimum amount of $195 will be applied toward the purchase of new equipment which benefits current and future rowers.

The $195 is due to Shaker Crew by 10/15/11 or there will be a $25 late fee.
