Shaker Crew PULLS Together and Wins $2,500 Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports Community Grant

We are one of the champions! Shaker Rowing Association is a winner of one of the twenty $2,500 Responsible Sports Community Grants! Let's give a round of applause and thanks to all from Shaker Crew and community friends who completed the Responsible Sports Community Grants quizzes. Our organization had one of the top totals in our division.

Shaker Crew was awarded the $2,500 grant check on March 9, 2009. Mr. Al Digiulio, Jr., Liberty Mutual Branch Manager commended our organization saying that Shaker Crew took a grassroots approach which succeeded in eliciting a large response from our Association and community. He said that our response level exceeded some larger organizations. He commended all the athletes for their dedication and committment to the team. Mr. Murphy, Shaker High School Principal, Shaker Rowing Association Board President Edna Mae Reilly, and Darlene Maloney for cheerleading the grant for the team were recognized.
